  1. 1.59 Billion Users: If Facebook were a country, it would be the largest in the world. Imagine that! And, they’re still growing at a rate of 5 new profiles every second. Just think about all that data we’re all giving away for free each day to Facebook! As a marketer, here’s your opportunity to target your Facebook marketing globally and locally to one of the world’s largest populations!
  2. 900 Million WhatsApp Users: In 2014, Facebook acquired the messaging application for $16 billion. 3. 400 Million Instagram Users: You’re on Instagram, right? Facebook has added Instagram into their advertising platform. So, if you haven’t done it already, link your account to your Facebook Page. As more and more people access the social web on their mobile device, Instagram will continue to grow. Gather up your best photos and have fun! You’ll build community and drive traffic on this visual platform.
  4. 800 Million Messenger Users: Facebook realizes that using apps is one of the key ways to make the user experience quick and easy. Messenger allows you to chat (and send stickers, of course) with your friends without having to sift through the whole Facebook experience. Time will only tell, but Messenger is popular with younger demographics–so it’s keeping them on the platform.

The questions are, how active are they?. . . And, how active are you going to be? Having an active presence on Facebook shows your current and potential customers that you are interested in creating a vibrant, helpful community. Your Facebook page should assist your customers in providing word-of-mouth advertising for your brand. Help your customers help you!
  6. 1 Billion People Use Groups: This statistic blew me away! But, then I thought about it. I’m involved in several Groups myself and I find it to be one of the easiest ways to ask a question and get good answers.
